FAA Part 135 Air Carrier Certificate
Issued by the US Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration, this Part 135 Certificate, defined as a 'non-scheduled air taxi" is the most important document that an air ambulance company possesses. As an airline carrier, all air ambulance providers MUST possess this operational certificate. To search and confirm an air ambulance providers' documentation, please visit: http://av-info.faa.gov/OpCert.asp
Aero Jet International prides itself on having achieved this prestigious legal status by obtaining its own certificate based on a lengthy application process with the FAA which involves safety, regulation and compliance issues to the Federal Aviation standards. A very small percentage of air ambulance providers nationwide can boast their operational standards are up to the legal standards of the Federal Aviation Administration utilizing their own company name. Many "piggy back" off a larger air carrier in order to avoid all compliance issues involved in the application process. CHECK THE CERTIFICATE CAREFULLY to ensure the company name matches the 135 certificate.
